Your favorite Riteaid would not let me buy the $4.29 sally tool last week with my $3 off in ad and $2 off mfr coupons. She told me the product cost has to exceed the coupon total. I said no thanks…don’t want your tool. Must be your bubbling personality!
Agh Shan. – too bad that didnt work for you… every cashier is different just as every store varies… But I will say, whenever I have a deal I anticipate being a money maker I make sure I have more than enough other items to cover (use up)the overage and I just hand my coupons in at the end… AND I do believe they should have taken the coupon and could have reduced the price of the coupon to just cover the cost. But it all depends on how much you want to argue/ call manager…?? We all have are Hiccups in the deals and although they stink just think of the good ones!!

Shannon – from what I understand, your cashier was correct. I had a cashier tell me that a little while ago and I thought they were just be grumpy ;). But I researched Rite Aid’s coupon policy and it does state,
“More than one coupon can be used on the purchase of a single item under the following conditions:
– All coupons match the item being purchased.
– The total of the coupons is equal to or less than the selling price of the item before sales tax.”
CVS’s policy states that they will adjust the coupon value, but Rite Aid’s policy will not. Bummer!!!
