Tasty Tuesday ~ EASY, Pork Loin in Crock Pot *(< 5 Ingredients)

DSCF1312

This pork loin roast is the best!!

It is super easy and can be thrown in to the crock-pot to be ready when you are!!  Minimal Ingredients creating amazing COMFORT food…If hubby is in charge he cooks much less time and pulls it out to slice.  When I am in charge I leave it in longer and “shred” the pork.  As always be sure your pork reaches 160 degrees.

This is a family favorite served with crispy potatoes and string beans!

 DSCF1310

Ingredients:

  • Pork Loin – I like to buy the whole loin and cut into 1/3s
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken and Mushroom Soup – You really can use any cream soup…
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • Salt & Pepper

Directions:

1.       Place loin in crock-pot

2.       Pour soup over loin… sprinkle with salt and pepper.

3.       Cook in crock, low for 6-8 hours or high for 5-7 hours…

4.       Before you are ready to serve (about 15 minutes), pour milk into crockpot…  stir up milk and soup as best as you can… shake down again with salt and pepper.

5.       Place loin on serving platter and enjoy!!

Sooo Easy… Sooo Delicious!!

Enjoy!!

My Rite-aid MONEY MAKER!!

 DSCF1301Rite-aid Finds  =  AWESOME!!

I ran in to get the FREE Scunci elastics and work the Schick Deal – I had UPS expiring today so,

at this point, my only goal was to roll the UPS!

DSCF1302

I got the Scunci @ $1.99 – $1.99 UP = FREE

Here is what I found for the Schick deal –

3 Men’s Hydro5 Disposable 3 count – $10.99    ($8.79 with GOLD discount)

1 Men’s Hydro5  – 1 ct.- $11.49    ($9.19 with GOLD discount)

1 EDGE Shave Gel – $3.49    ($2.79 with GOLD discount)

3 Skintimate Shave Gel – $3.49    ($2.79 with GOLD discount)

 DSCF1303

Gels were the best deal, $1 Manufacture Q and $2 in-ad Q makes them a Money Maker…

Razors had $4 Manufacture Q and $4 in-ad Q that saved $8 on each one…

 DSCF1309

After Q’s, my Total for the Schick order was:  $2.72 AND I got a $10 UP!!!

The best part is I am actually only $3.28 away from the second $10 UP…  I have the GOLD discount and get 20% off, so my total for razors and shaving gels was $46.72 (any 1 razor or 2 more gels would have put me at the second $25 mark but I was not paying any attention – I wanted to roll my UPS and this store enforces the 4 coupons per item rule so I naturally just went for 4 of each… no biggie, it accumulates and I will get more tomorrow and add on to my deal ~ making it even more of a MONEY MAKER!!

Sunday Funday ~ Weekly Meal Plan and some fabulous desserts….

roast pork loin, potatoes

roast pork loin, potatoes (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Gas point earnings are BBBAAAAACCCCKKKKK!! so I was very busy at Tops today!  I ordered coupons so I am not done with the week’s deals and I can’t get my pictures uploaded (good lawd, issues, issues… but earned $1.00 off per gallon all ready) so I will share tomorrow; but these are the deals I focused on:

TOPS Deals this week (CLICK HERE)

I also discovered RITE-AID really did have some GREAT deals this week, so I posted them and ran in to grab the razors and a few shave gels!

RITE-AID Deals this week (CLICK HERE)

In addition to the shopping, I did a lot of web perusing and recipe reading and settled on our weekly meal plan… highlight being EASTER dinner (good lord I need to get the baskets ready!!).  Anyone else stress about Easter dinner desserts?  Not the actual meal, but the desserts… I mean there is so much candy and chocolate around but you still need a dessert or two for the big meal – right??  I am thinking Banana Cream Pie… had it the other day at lunch with the girls and it was so delicious!  I need a really good recipe for it AND what is another “lighter” dessert – and by lighter, I really only mean “maybe” not chocolate… you know?!!

Check out these options (surfing can be dangerous – oh my!);

Cadbury Egg Inspired Easter Truffle

Coconut Custard Pie

Cinabon Cake

Anyhow, this week’s MEAL PLAN ~

MONDAY:  Pork Loin Roast, Peas and Applesauce

TUESDAY:  Roast Chicken, stuffing, salad

WEDNESDAY:  Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich (from Pork Roast dinner on Monday), Raw Veggies with Dip

THURSDAY:  Cheesey Chicken Taquitos (from Chicken dinner on Tuesday), salad

FRIDAY:  Dinner Out – Buffet at the Byrncliff!!

SATURDAY:  C.O.R.N (Clean Out Refrigerator Night) Maybe make quesadilla’s from the left over pork and chicken.  We will NEED room for Sunday/Easter so some creative planning will ensue…

SUNDAY:  EASTER DINNER  – relish tray, antipasto tray, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, corn, rolls, Banana Cream Pie and Maybe a Fruit Tart (?)

What are your plans for EASTER?  Do tell… Let’s Chat!!!

Crazy busy Saturday planned but I am trying to go with the fun of it…  I get to go to a Habitat for Humanity Home Dedication Ceremony – which is one piece of my real job that I actually LOVE (not so much on a Sat. morning mind you, but…) and then I am meeting up with some AMAZING blogging friends that I can’t wait to see and I get to end the day out with my hubs and friends having cocktails!  Then there is still Sunday… the day of rest… you know, the REST of the cooking, the REST of the laundry, the REST of the cleaning, and the REST of the Shopping!!

I am actually looking forward to TOPS this next week…  I have slacked during the past 2 weeks since there was not potential to earn gas points and I am thrilled by what is shown as deals now that we are back to earning the gas points!

In the mean time, in case you missed any of the highlights….

TOPS, BEST Bonus’ (Gas Point and Instant Savings) Deals Compiled ~ week of 3/24/2013

Stay Tuned (soundtrack)

Stay Tuned (soundtrack) (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

WOW – I have been going CRAZY getting some TOPS deals ready… BONUS Gas Points are back and my theory always has been; you have to buy gas and you have to buy food… if you can use your gas money to buy more food and get FREE gas then you are getting twice as much (food and gas) for your money!!  Right??!!

There are 2 INSTANT save deals where you save $3 INSTANTLY when you buy the specified items…

The Quaker Products Deal (CLICK HERE) offers super cheap granola bars at only $1.90/box.

The Baker’s Special (CLICK HERE) also offers some amazing prices, like sugar for only $.99!!

There are two awesome BONUS Gas Point Deals as well…

The Paper Goods Deal (CLICK HERE) offers napkins for as little as $.30 per package!

The Kraft Products Deal (Click HERE) offers a ton of stock up options – but I think my favorite is the $.15 Crystal Lights!!

I am going to shop these deals on Sunday and will be happy to report how many Gas Points I can accumulate…  I am estimating my purchases to be about $100 but I will get over 1800 gas points and that is valued at $54… so who’s with me??  Game on??  Stay Tuned!!

TOPS ~ next week’s Quaker Deal!

A Quaker Chewy Granola Bar, chocolate chip flavor.

Quaker Deal ~ Save $3 Instantly wyb 5

I only see one coupon for the Quaker products; it was a $1/2 Quaker Products in the Feb. All You... but even w/o coupons, the save $3 Instantly is enticing as .60 off each item!

Cap’n Crunch or Life Cereal – B1G1 Free

Instant Oatmeal – 2/$6

Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix and Syrup – 4/$10

Granola Soft cookies – 2/$4

Chewy Bars – 4/$10

Buy 5 = $12.50

Save $3 Instantly = $9.50 for 5 or only $1.90 per box!

FYI – on a 10 pack, this is only $.19 per bar and my theory is any time I get a full snack type item for $.25 or less – it is a Bar`goon!!!!
